gadis bali is indonesian language for balinese girl.


This is my country's national costume for female, it's called KEBAYA. In this pic, I made a modern balinese-style kebaya, which has an obi-like in the hip (the general one doesn't have it), that's way I gave it title Gadis Bali . I wished to make a beautiful modern kebaya like the one Anne Advantie (Indonesian designer speciality in kebaya) made, but it seems I lack the talent ^^'.

Kebaya is usually wore in a formal event, or a traditional one, like wedding (as wedding dress), a big family gathering, holiday event, etc. When (hopefully) I graduate in July, I, along with my other female friends will also wear this kebaya-dress.

I really love the way kebaya fit female body, it makes girl looks so feminine, slim, and mature ^^'.



I made this for helping promote my government's tourism program "VISIT INDONESIA 2008", an whole-year program with many events for tourist to visit Indonesia.
